About Us
At DIRECC, we're dedicated to building resilience in vulnerable communities in Haiti.
We believe that everyone deserves to be to be treated with Diyite (Dignity) regardless of their race, religions, social or economic class. As human beings, we will all at some point in our journey through life encounter formidable challenges that we cannot overcome alone. In those moments, what we need more than anything is a friend like the one shown in the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 25-37). At DIRECC, we are that good friend. Or “yon bon pwochen,”
as seen in the Haitian tongue.
DIRECC’s passion and motivation is to be yon bon pwochen for vulnerable children in Haiti
who cannot go to school. Yon bon pwochen for older adults who are living alone or who do not
have a place to stay at all; Yon bon pwochen for people with mobility impairments or who are
ostracized from society because of a disability.
